Dividend Income – May 2025

The month has passed again, Midsummer
is also behind us, and we are slowly moving towards autumn. It’s
time to take a look at how my portfolio performed in terms of passive
income.

In May 2025, I earned a total of
€2,918.81 ($3,323.02) in dividend income. After taxes, my net
dividend income was €2,165.94 ($2,465.93). This marks a significant
improvement compared to May 2024, when my net dividend income stood
at €1,536.61 ($1,644.74). Year over year, this represents an
increase of €629.33, or 40.96%.

In May 2025, my net dividend income
totaled €2,165.94, which translates to an average of €69.87 per
day and €2.91 per hour—earned passively, regardless of what I was
doing.
For the first five months of the year, my cumulative
averages stand at €73.89 per day and €3.08 per hour.

Compared to May 2024, my dividend income and portfolio have undergone several notable changes.

Some shifts in dividend payment schedules affected the timing of my income. For instance, NCC paid its dividend in May this year, while it had done so in April last year. Conversely, NN paid its dividend in May this year, whereas it was paid in June the year before.

AVANCE paid its final extraordinary distribution and will be delisting its shares from the Euronext Oslo Børs.

I also made several strategic additions to my portfolio. I added two new dividend-paying ETFs—JEPI and JEPQ—as well as one new company, NNN. In addition, I increased my holdings in MANTA, BMY, and JGPI, further strengthening my overall income stream.

Several of my existing investments announced dividend increases, most notably ETN and UNM. These boosts have had a positive effect on my total dividend income.

This month’s dividend payments have
brought my cumulative net dividend income to a total of €192,273.45.

Dividend Income 2025

With this month’s dividend income,
I’ve now collected 44.6% of my target net passive income for 2025,
which is €25,000.00. At the moment, it seems that I won’t reach my
target. The main factors contributing to this are the exchange rate
fluctuations and the Neste dividend cut. These have had a significant
impact on my overall income, making it more challenging to meet my
goal.
