Dividends, Investing and Options Trading Weekly Update 7/29/22

The stock market stumbled a little bit at the start of the week going down slightly the first couple of days. Then, on Wednesday, the stock market took off and both the S&P 500 and NASDAQ finished the week up over 4%. I am still not sure if this is a bear market rally or if the stock market is recovering and getting ready to go on a bull run. Regardless of what the market is going to do, I am going to continue with my plan. Despite the market rebounding this month, I still believe there are good deals to be had on quality companies and I continue to buy. Let’s check out the details for my weekly update on dividends, investing and options trading.

Wrap Up

The combined income from dividends and options premium totaled $208.96 this week. This week was another down week for dividends. January, April, July and October are the months I receive the lowest amount of dividends so the low amount of dividends received was expected. Options trading was better this week. I am still trying to make up for the loss on my SOXL position which was called away at a price significantly below my cost basis. I made some good progress on that this week by selling puts. That wraps it up for my weekly update on dividends, investing and options trading. Thanks for following along!
